Northbrook students receive rave reviews for ‘outstanding production’
A performance by Northbrook College took Brighton by storm recently.
Students on the college’s level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance took their production of ‘Love and Information’ to the Lantern Theatre – and impressed critics and audiences alike.
Reviewer Simon Jenner said it was ‘quite exceptional, the best youth theatre production I remember seeing’ in a review published on www.fringereview.co.uk
The review goes on to deliver rave reviews to the actors, reporting that there were ‘some wondrous performances’ and it was an ‘array to dazzle’.
The production itself is credited for it’s clever use of lighting and AV, as well as stage design and direction.
Helena Thomas, Principal of Northbrook College, said: “I am so very proud of the team – those on stage and those backstage – for putting together an absolutely phenomenal show.
“The talent and dedication shown by our students is so impressive, and an example of the amazing work taking place in our performing arts department.
“To have the opportunity to perform at Brighton Fringe is fantastic, and to receive reviews such as the one on Fringe Review is really the icing on the cake. It is so well deserved for everyone involved.
“Many of our students on our level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance are progressing on to drama schools and I know it won’t be long before we see their names in lights.”
