What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, intensive training programmes lasting up to 16 weeks, designed for adults (aged 19 and over) to develop sector-specific skills and fast-track career progression.

Developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that they meet industry needs, Skills Bootcamps provide structured, practical training and support to help adults gain the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in their career.

Multi-Trade Construction Skills Bootcamps

Our practical Multi-Trades Skills Bootcamps are ideal for anyone considering a career in the construction industry. You will gain hands-on experience in essential trade skills including Carpentry, Bricklaying, and small-scale repairs, while developing an understanding of modern construction practices.

The course also includes key industry requirements such as the NOCN Level 1 Award in Health and Safety In Construction; preparation for the CITB CSCS test and Green Labourer Card; Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work, and an introduction to self-employment in construction.

Who Can Apply?
Adults aged 19+ (by 31st August 2025) living or working in West Sussex who want to start or advance a career in construction.

Who Are Skills Bootcamps For?

Skills Bootcamps are open to:

Learners aged 19+ by 31st August 2025
Adults in work with employer agreement or self-employed professionals looking to grow their business.
Adults recently unemployed or returning to work who want to secure a job in a new sector.
Adults who have lived in England for at least three consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK (exceptions apply for Ukraine or Afghanistan nationals).
Adults not currently enrolled in formal education, including another Skills Bootcamp.
Employed adults seeking a career change or transition into a new sector.
