Johny Giles Performance Lecturer

Johny is a multi-instrumentalist performer, composer, producer and promoter with over 20 years of experience as a music educator specialising in music performance, production, business and academic research.

As a professional musician, he has had digital and vinyl releases for independent and major labels and publishing companies. He has performed in renowned festivals such as Glastonbury, Shambala, Secret Garden Party and Transmusicales (France), venues such as Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Koko and Scala (London) and played alongside artists such as Foals, Metronomy, Hot Chip and Peaches as well as being featured on radio and TV including the E4 series, Inbetweeners. He has a particular interest in the interface between live and electronic music with his long-term live dance music project, Transformer,  as well as promoting regular events in the Brighton music scene and recently organising new music festival, Field Trip, in Sussex.
