COURSE OVERVIEW

The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is a potential route into employment with a globally recognised qualification accrediting the skills and knowledge required by employers. This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting.

This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, and combines online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom. We will be following the AQ2022 brand new AAT syllabus.

All level 2,3,4 courses are run in partnership with Mindful Education as a blended learning course (online and on campus). To progress successfully through the course, it is essential to use the online resources timely, prior to the session with the teacher on campus.

The purpose of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required to progress to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to further study in accountancy and finance.

This course is delivered on Tuesday’s from 13:30 to 16:30 at Broadwater Campus, Worthing.

FURTHER INFORMATION

You must have a sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles to undertake the AAT Level 3 programme and achievement of an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting is essential.

  • An excellent level of spoken and written English is required for this course.
  • Please be aware of the need to spend a significant amount of time away from the classroom undertaking independent study.
  • It is recommended that students re-acquaint themselves with basic book-keeping principles before starting the course.
  • English and maths Functional skills level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Access to a computer, MS Office Excel and reliable internet connection is essential (students studying Using Accounting Software Unit can use Sage at the College library)

HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS

Step 1

Set Up Your Account

You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.

Step 2

Apply

Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.

Step 3

Application Review Meeting

Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 4

Accept Your Place

Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Step 5

What next?

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
