COURSE OVERVIEW
The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is a potential route into employment with a globally recognised qualification accrediting the skills and knowledge required by employers. This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting.
This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, and combines online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom. We will be following the AQ2022 brand new AAT syllabus.
All level 2,3,4 courses are run in partnership with Mindful Education as a blended learning course (online and on campus). To progress successfully through the course, it is essential to use the online resources timely, prior to the session with the teacher on campus.
The purpose of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required to progress to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to further study in accountancy and finance.
This course is delivered on Tuesday’s from 13:30 to 16:30 at Broadwater Campus, Worthing.
FURTHER INFORMATION
- An excellent level of spoken and written English is required for this course.
- Please be aware of the need to spend a significant amount of time away from the classroom undertaking independent study.
- It is recommended that students re-acquaint themselves with basic book-keeping principles before starting the course.
- English and maths Functional skills level 2 (or equivalent)
- Access to a computer, MS Office Excel and reliable internet connection is essential (students studying Using Accounting Software Unit can use Sage at the College library)
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
In addition to the course fee students will need to pay a
one-off registration fee to AAT for the membership, the cost is £228.
The cost of the first scheduled unit’;s exam as per the
course calendar is included in the course fee. Any change in the original exam
booking, any retake or exam taken after the course ends will incur a fee.

Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.
