COURSE OVERVIEW
Based within the exciting and vibrant creative industries department, this highly practical course will provide you with the skills to transform your passion into a career. You can choose to focus on performance, song writing and production and explore ways of releasing your music as a recording artist. Your journey to a creative career in the music industry starts here.

FURTHER INFORMATION
To start at this level, you need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, preferably including English and maths, and evidence of musical ability.
Additional requirements. If you do not have the above grades, you can start on the Level 2 course.
After one year at Level 3, most students move on to the second year to gain the Extended Diploma.
This prepares you to go on to university degree courses in music performance.

- Teacher/lecturer
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
