COURSE OVERVIEW
This creative course is suitable for those with some experience. Follow the course projects or explore your own subject matter in a friendly, supportive environment. This course is ideal for personal development and portfolio building.
On this course you will learn: how to use different media; painting and drawing techniques; art history; contemporary art; individual advice on chosen media; developing your own personal style, and, if appropriate, building a portfolio for interview and advice on professional practice.
by the end of the course you will be able to show that you have explored drawing with different media, show that you can plan a painting effectively with regard to composition and scale, produce at least 8 pieces of finished work, assess your progress with the activities at an intermediate level.
Tutor Jason Powers. This course runs on a Monday afternoon 1230-1430
Tutor Jason Powers: Teaching across the adult sector for over twenty years, covering a diverse range of creative interests (portraiture, life classes, drawing, painting, and mixed media) various learner skills and experiences, Jason shares his extensive knowledge and practice through a structured, relaxed and flexible approach to learning. Having studied at Chelsea, Falmouth and Chichester university, Jason continues to exhibit county wide and nationally, and often at the annual Discerning Eye exhibitions, London.
